Panel on Conflict, Climate & Displacement

Panelists discussed the need for more comprehensive frameworks that look at direct and indirect causes for both internal and external displacement, thinking about how these causes are related and interact with each other. In particular, panelists discussed the role that both climate fragility and conflict play as drivers in forced displacement. Panelists presented recent work that discussed multidimensional frameworks that assessed fragility, the state of international refugee law, and potential policy responses.
